Dr Stuart Perlman, a local psychologist who paints portraits of homeless people at Venice Beach, discussed his work with KidUnity. Perlman's work has been displayed in museums and he has produced a documentary - Struggles in Paradise - based on his work. Perlman emphasized his desire to dignify the homeless, and capture their pain and struggles.
