Essay Contests
KidUnity is excited to announce our 2019 essay contest for students in grades 3-6. Essay questions and contest information are listed below. We will announce a winner for each grade level.
Winners (3rd-5th grades, one winner per grade), selected by a KidUnity panel of teachers, will receive a free dress pass, a $20 gift certificate, and will be able to direct a KidUnity donation of $50 to a charity of their choice. Winners will also be able to present their essays at flag line.
Winner (6th), selected by a KidUnity panel of teachers, will receive free dress, frozen yogurt for her/his service learning group, and will be able to direct a KidUnity donation of $100 to a charity that supports her/his service group's mission. The winner will also be able to present her/his essay at flag line.
Essay question for grades 3-5:
Question: What does it mean to be a good American citizen?
Rules: Please submit a typed essay as an attached document (no more than 2 pages) to KIDUNITY before February 20, 2019.
Essay question for 6th grade:
Question: Why is freedom of the press important to you?
Rules: Please submit a typed essay as an attached document (no more than 3 pages) to KIDUNITY before February 1, 2019.
